Keke Palmer, Judge Greg Mathis Team for BET Daily Talk Show

Hey Briana Buddies-

I hope that everyone enjoyed a fabulous Easter weekend. I spent quality time with my family. I never take these moments for granted because I am truly blessed to have the family that I do. It always allows me to put things into perspective and to be grateful for the present moment. I even received a special spa day gift from my 7-year-old niece. She actually set up an at home pedicure, manicure and facial station that consisted of cucumbers on the eyes, massage and hot towels around my feet. She mimicked what she saw at the nail salons. Classic and priceless moments shared.

This brings me to my topic for the day. Positive role models are so important for our youth. We have to continue to encourage them to believe in anything that ignites their passions and dreams.

Brilliant young actress and positive role model, Keke Palmer will be the youngest talk show host in history. BET has picked up The Keke Palmer Project, a daily talk show covering topics including fashion, pop culture, social issues, sex, celebrity interviews, on the street and undercover segments.

Produced by Warner Bros. Television’s syndication division Telepictures, Judge Greg Mathis is on board as an executive producer on the new series via his Mathis Productions banner. The series will launch in July and air Mondays-Fridays in the afternoon for a four-week trial.

The Keke Palmer Project (working title) will join a three other daily syndicated talk shows at BET: The Wendy Williams Show and The Queen Latifah Show, and upcoming talk show The Real (which debuts in the fall).

With the series pickup, Palmer — who starred in Akeelah and the Bee and True Jackson, VP –is also a four-time BET Awards nominee, winning its YoungStars award in 2010. She next stars in features Animal, Brotherly Love, and Imperial Dreams.

We salute you Keke and appreciate that you continue to be a positive role model for young girls and women.

Signing off,
