Briana Says…It’s Easy Being Green!
Hey Briana Buddies-
My buddy Sahar is excited about the new Muppet Movie. She says that the Muppets have been around for a long time when she was a kid. Wow, that’s a long time! She also said that cartoons were different and that she learned a lot. I have watched Sesame Street and it’s cool that Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and Big Bird are all puppets talking to real people. We have some cartoons that help kids learn but a lot of my friends don’t want to watch those. I guess kids think they are only supposed to learn at school. That’s silly to me!
Kermit the Frog didn’t like being green because he didn’t feel like he was special enough and wanted to be a different color. He has a famous
song called, It’s Not Easy Being Green. I used to feel that way before when I moved to a new neighborhood and I didn’t want to be the new kid. I was afraid that I would not make any friends because I was different. Me and my friends are so different and it’s cool because we can share new things.

really care about things. It’s also easy when we know that it really is great to be different. I don’t think that I want to be just like my friends, Miko and Jessica. I like being me!
Kermit if you are reading this…I think you are pretty cool and I can’t wait to see your new movie with you and Miss Piggy. She’ a rock star & I think you are perfect being green!
